I've been there, that's why you're on this site. I've been exactly where you are. You want answers. It's hard to ask everyone for the answers. You're tired of bugging everyone so you start researching. Then you turn to browsing the divorce books. Then you remember you're on a budget. Well, Here's a quick way around getting all of the divorce books you want for free or at an extremely reduced price.
Here's how I discovered it. I had to go back to court again for my divorce. It was a pain in the a$$. I had so many questions to ask and couldn't find anyone to talk to about it. Or, I was tired of bugging everyone. So, I started the FaceBook group for divorced and separated dads. Between going back to court and helping the group, I spent a lot of time researching. I also attempt to read more.
Somewhere along the way, I signed up for Amazon Kindle Unlimited. One night I was researching how to prepare documents for court, I realized that my book list had a lot of divorce books in it. And, because Kindle Unlimited allowed me to add and remove books for free, I was looking through books within a couple of minutes. I'd download the book, browse through it, gather what I wanted, then get another book. And, it didn't cost me anything.
The whole idea of getting them for free is true. You can get 1 month for free. Then, it's only $9.99 per month after that. So, to me it feels like I can go to the Amazon library whenever I want at any time and get any book. It's pretty cool.
The Best Divorce books for Free Recommended by Divorced Dads
Note: Not all of these books are free on Kindle Unlimited. I also added other books our group recommended.
I like the book, “The Complete Divorce Organizer & Planner” because there are several lists throughout the book. Honestly, I want the answers and not a lot of fluff. For me, a list is exactly what I need to start. I can ask more questions from there. I feel like I don't have the time nor do I want to spend hours on the topic of divorce. So, the lists were perfect for me to get in and out quickly.
What the dads say about “Nolo's Essential Guide to Divorce“
I highly recommend it. Trying to find quality information on the internet is useless, and getting info from a lawyer is expensive. I'm 50 pages in and already learning a lot. It answers a lot of the questions I had.
Vaguely goes over each state
This book is helping me understand the process better because it is all new and confusing.
What dads say about the “5 Love Languages“.
I picked up this book not long after I told my wife I wanted a divorce. It was probably the first book I picked up in a while. My marriage like many had plenty of good times, but In the end, I was left emotionally abused and severely depressed. Reading this opened my eyes to what my “love language” was which I kind of had an idea what it was but my wife never showed it or attempted to show it to me. To this day I don’t know what her love language is, maybe it could have saved our marriage who knows, but marriage takes two people willing to love one another, Love is a choice, not always a feeling. I highly recommend giving it a read.
I’ve read it too. Good read
Trust me it’s a good read. I’d read it again.
